Located at 257 Bowery Street, in New York City, the new Sperone Westwater Gallery is inserted between two existing buildings, on a single 24’-11” wide and 101’-0” long lot. The nine story building provides a new home for the Sperone Westwater Gallery, with main exhibition, gallery and art storage spaces. There are also administration spaces and a library on the top levels.

The restrictions of a small footprint are alleviated by the introduction of a large feature ‘moving room’ at the facade, moving guests vertically through the building without interrupting circulation through the gallery space.
